The “race card” is a sure sign that somebody is out of valid arguments… and the latest desperate politician to play that blame game is none other than Hillary Clinton.

During a frankly pathetic interview on CBS over the weekend, Hillary doubled down on her list of excuses for her election loss, and shockingly stood by her now famous “deplorables” comment.

“[Trump] was quite successful in referencing the nostalgia that would give hope, comfort, settle grievances, for millions of people who were upset about gains that were made by others,” Clinton whined to host Jane Pauley.

es, in Hillary’s mind, giving hope to millions of people is a bad thing.

“What you’re saying is millions of white people,” Pauley prompted, according to The Washington Free Beacon.

“Millions of white people,” Clinton agreed. “Yeah, millions of white people.”

Think about that for a moment. According to Hillary Clinton, the only reason people voted for Trump was because they were jealous of “gains made by others,” which is Clinton Code for minorities.

Never mind the fact that under the Obama economy, minorities were actually hit very hard and barely “gained” much more than unemployment. The losing candidate’s statement makes one thing very clear: Having “white people” vote for Trump is somehow something to be ashamed of.

The simple reality is that the “white people” Hillary finds so deplorable make up the bulk of the country. What she is really lamenting is that Donald Trump’s message appealed to… er… the majority of the American people. How scandalous!

Her statement is also laughable in light of the fact that her oh-so-genius campaign team didn’t consider that the 63 percent of Americans who are white might sway an election. It’s as if it never occurred to her that insulting and alienating the biggest voting bloc in the nation might be a bad idea.

Gee, I repeatedly mocked and marginalized the largest majority of voters in America. Why did I lose?

At the end of the day, however, Donald Trump’s message resonated with men and — to Hillary’s chagrin — women of many races and backgrounds. For example, exit polling data showed that Trump did better with both black and Hispanic Americans than Romney did back in 2012.

That was after the media and the left tried desperately to paint Trump as some sort of anti-minority devil. It turns out that being proud of your country and promising to make America great for all its citizens is a winning message. Who knew?

Identity politics is a losing game. Liberals like Hillary Clinton have become masters at it… and now it looks like they are masters at losing elections, as well.
